- Pressks - Nirmala Convent Movie Verdict : Nirmala Convent is an impressive effort from Roshan which turns positive for him. He has got great screen presence and the potential of becoming a good actor like his father. He has a long way to go. With some patience, the film can be given a single time watch. Rating - 2.75/5.
- Chitramala - This movie is a debut for Roshan Meka, Shriya Sharma as actors and Roshan Saluri as Music director. To make an impactful debut the movie should have a fantastic premise and story which Nirmala Convent lacks. This movie runs in a very routine way and audience get disappointed from the very first 15 minutes having huge hype for its promotions. First half of the movie is tedious and second half is okay. Director Naga Koteswara Rao has failed in penning a convincing story and directing it. Second half seems to be inspired from Slumdog millionaire and the scenes where Roshan tries to get Nagarjuna’s attention has nothing to excite. King Nagarjuna’s guest role doesn’t make any difference to this pale and mediocre movie. His guest role appeals more to his fans. To summarise, this Nirmala Convent is not a great debut for anyone despite it’s cast and production. Rating 2.5/5.
- 123Telugu - On the whole, Nirmala Convent is a perfect launch pad for Roshan Srikanth. The young hero shines in his role and surely has a rocking future ahead. The film also has some very decent moments throughout and moves at a simple and decent pace. If you ignore the slightly slow first half and predictable nature of the film, you can easily give this film a shot for its innocence and Nag’s cameo. Rating - 3/5.
- Telugu360 - All in all, Nirmala Convent will end as a debut that misfires badly. The first half is tad too slow and the second half is just OK. Though both Roshan and Shriya Sharma are likeable in their roles, there are no bright moments in the film to garner big appreciation from the mainstream audience. The age-old script and the poor narration makes it a disappointing watch. Nagarjuna’s special appearance will cater to his fans very well and his presence is the only saving grace for the film what otherwise could have been a big disaster at the box office.Rating - 2/5.
